For everyone who has been following the work of the Heritage Society over the last 15 + years will know that we have long campaigned for Northstowe, Longstanton, Oakington & Westwick, RAF Oakington and Oakington Barracks to have a heritage facility. The history that the villages share with the new town is unique and it is really important that the heritage of our communities is exhibited locally. LDHS is grateful to National Highways, Homes England, Longstanton Parish Council, Northstowe Town Council and Cambridgeshire County Council for their support and we look forward to working together to make this community facility a great success for everyone. If all goes to plan the building is scheduled to open later this year.
