An Historic But Poignant Moment
The heritage society is sad to report that one of our earliest supporters and contributors has died. Norman Collinge was a good friend of the heritage society and one of the earliest contributors to the LDHS archives. A frequent visitor to The Manor he will be missed but never forgotten. Sadly Norman and many of […]

Having followed the Northstowe project from the John Prescott days it comes as no surprise that politics and Northstowe remain so intertwined, or so it would appear from this article http://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/cameron-backer-set-for-windfall-from-500m-property-sale-g29r2h39p
Why are there still no plans in place for a Northstowe museum?
Glad to see that RAF Waterbeach museum has re-opened in memory of Oliver Merrington. If the developers of Waterbeach barracks can fund a museum on the site then the developers of the new town of Northstowe have no excuse for not doing the same. Our work continues….. http://www.waterbeachbarracks.co.uk/waterbeach-museum-reopens-in-memory-of-oliver-merrington/

Sadly in the world of developers and development this is often the time when planning applications are submitted – timed so that the public consultation runs over the […]
