This development will take up approximately 75% of Longstanton parish and all the former RAF Oakington site. LDHS will continue to work towards a museum as part of this development so please support our work if you can by sending us your stories, memories and photographs. You can also support our aim to get a museum on the former RAF Oakington site by joining the society today. There is no dispute that the Anglo-Saxon, Roman and military histories of Longstanton, Oakington and the Northstowe site justify this community facility – not just for current residents and visitors but also to ensure that the heritage assets impacted by this development are safeguarded for generations to come.
