This has been posted before but it is nice to see it again as something to enjoy whilst we are all in lockdown due to the Corona virus pandemic. As you can see from our previous News posts the Spring season of talks has been cancelled as has the LDHS/ Parish Council event that was being planned in conjunction with Homes England. The heritage society has kindly been sent a link to a film that shows the Cambridge to St Ives railway line in 1968. Now the Cambridgeshire Guided Busway this piece of nostalgia should appeal to everyone but in particular those with a fondness for Britain’s old railways. The film is obviously sourced from the BFI National Archive and it is not clear whether there are any copyright issues posting this link. If there are please do not hesitate to bring the matter to our attention.
