As expected the Government has approved the A14 upgrade – a decision that was never in doubt as their plans for the new town of Northstowe are dependent on the A14 works being completed.
From March 2017 we will have three years of chaos but then hopefully the A14 will be a modern road which is fit for purpose. The old Roman road has served this country the best it could but it was sadly not built to take national traffic heading to and from the East coast ports. Another historic moment in the development of this area from a “green and pleasant land” to Greater Cambridge.
