Guided Bus-way (Oakington)

It has been announced that BAM Nuttall has finally handed over the Guided Bus-way to the County Council. This is an important milestone which will hopefully ensure that this historic route will be operational later this year. After the destruction of the railway line and the amount of money spent on this project it is essential that the “longest Guided Bus-way in the world” is a success. Not only is this success important to the local villages but it is vital for the new town of Northstowe.
As far as we are aware it is now up to the County Council to carry out any remedial works required so that this route can be open to buses. We will keep you updated on progress when possible.
