Church Farm located near St Andrew’s church is reputdely the oldest house in Oakington. It was the home of Ralph Warboys and his family during the war. When the bombers took off from RAF Oakington, using the runway that ran towards Oakington, church – Ralph told me that on a summer’s night when the windows were open the curtains would billow inwards as the planes took off!
