County Council – Museums & Archaeology
The Cambridgeshire Historic Environment Record (CHER) is held by the County Council Archeology Dept. It is a complete record of all the finds found in the area. The Council will provide information on the CHER if requested to do so. If any one has any concerns about local archaeology, or makes any new finds, this is the department to contact. For more details and links please see the CHER page in this section.
The County Council also has an interest in local museums. More on this role will follow in due course.
Archaeological Outreach Services:
The County Council now organises the archaeological outreach programme. This is a programme that enables the general public to get involved. For the latest information please click on the following link.
