Hilary Stroude Collection – 2005
Old Hatton Mansion House garden wall in garden of No 34 Prentice Close. (Prentice Close was built on the site of Prentice Farm and a number of Hatton garden ornaments were found in the foundations of an old barn that stood on the site. 4 of these ornaments were kept by the builders and the rest re-buried. I have been told that the authorities were not informed as the builders did not wish the discovery to halt progress.) I have advised Quentin Carroll of CCC a while ago – but this needs to be considered if there is any substantial development of Prentice Close in the future.

Longstanton and District
District District is defined as consisting of Northstowe and the village of Oakington and Westwick. It can also include the area associated with the South West Fen Edge and our local tracks and by-ways, so the interactions between local communities can be properly understood..
