Hilary Stroude Collection – Dec 2005
The paddock between Long Lane and Toad Acre Mobile Home Park. I ahve been told that the building on the left of the photograph were the quarantine stables for the Vet Charlie Townsend of Melrose House. The Northstowe developers wish to have this paddock as the site for Northstowe allotments. This will destroy the archaeological remains that are still clearly visible on this site.

Longstanton and District
District District is defined as consisting of Northstowe and the village of Oakington and Westwick. It can also include the area associated with the South West Fen Edge and our local tracks and by-ways, so the interactions between local communities can be properly understood..
