Norman Colling (member of 7 Sqd. Assoc.) standing at the door of “his”J hangar. Norman was a trained carpenter and during the war he worked as ground crew at RAF Oakington in this hangar. He had to repair the damaged planes. Once repaired a member of the ground crew who had worked on the plane had to go up with the pilot for a test flight. This was their incentive to do the job properly. I have a filmed interview and audio tape interview with Norman Collinge who was one of our first major supporters.
